The library is seeking submissions of recent work from visual artists for exhibition in the 2027 calendar year and beyond.
All submissions will be evaluated by members of the library’s Visual Arts Committee, which is comprised of artists, art professionals, and art enthusiasts from the area. The Visual Arts Committee will make recommendations for exhibits based on the criteria for selection found in the library's Art policy. Artists will be notified by email if the proposal is accepted.

Celebrating Fiber Arts
Exhibition Dates: October 21-November 18, 2026
Artists' Reception: Sunday, October 25, 2026, 12 noon-3 PM
The Heyde Center for the Arts is offering an opportunity to showcase fiber artworks. Fiber art refers to the use of fiber or textiles as a medium to express creativity and artistic value. It includes, but is not limited to techniques of quilting, weaving, embroidery, rug hooking, crocheting, knitting, and felting with more emphasis on visual appreciation rather than functional practical value.
Submission to the exhibition is open to all fiber artists age 18 and older.

Each artist may submit up to three entries. With submission, a non-refundable fee of $10 is required.

The Valley Fiber Artists will review all applications and photos for appropriateness.

Applications and photos will be submitted using email.

• All entries must be original designs. Entries using kits and commercial patterns will not be accepted.

The artist will determine how the artwork is finished and must be ready for display.

The application form is due on or before September 11, 2026.
No late entries will be accepted.
